The air quality index (AQI) has once again soared above the 400 mark in Delhi which has prompted authorities to reintroduce the highest level of graded response action plan (GRAP-4).

GRAP-4 regime dictates that all construction and demolition activities in the capital should be banned, ban on the entry of trucks in Delhi and suspension of classes VI to IX and class XI.

The government authorities are entitled to suspend non-essential commercial activities under the GRAP-4 regime.

The GRAP-4 also calls for allowing work from home for 50 per cent of the employees in government and private offices.
