People in Delhi and the National Capital Region are facing acute shortages of cooking gas as the Israel-Iran War has caused the closure of key chokepoint, the Strait of Hormuz.

There are reports of long queues as people queue up to buy gas. Restaurants are also facing closures as the price of liquefied natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas skyrockets.
