Errors & Clarifications

In the article titled “India State of Forest Report delayed by a year: Concerns rise over forest data integrity” published online on September 25, 2024, a wrong attribution to a statement mentioned. The statement … “Rajesh S, Indian Forest Service, inspector general of forests at the MoEFCC, assured this reporter that there was no delay in the publication of the ISFR and it would be released as scheduled” was not from the inspector general of forests concerned at MoEFCC, and it was wrongly attributed to him.

In the story titled “Mpox outbreak: Global emergency declaration on the cards as WHO calls for emergency meet” published online on August 8, 2024, the First Congo War's duration was wrongly mentioned as "1996-997". Correct duration is 1996-97.

In the article titled “Maharashtra’s project funds for climate-resilient agriculture has gone to just a few districts and types of interventions” published online on November 13, 2023, an incomplete institution name was used. Instead of the reported “Indian Council of Agricultural Research” it should be “Indian Council of Agricultural Research- Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture.”
