A new study conducted in the UK used artificial intelligence to paint a futuristic scenario for the Taj Mahal, the Brandenburg Gate and skylines in other cities

Besides Agra, other places included in the study were Auckland, Barcelona, Beijing, Berlin, Dubai, Edinburgh, Giza, Kruger National Park (South Africa), London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Moscow, New York, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Sydney, Tokyo, and Toronto. Here, the megapolis of London’s skyline is imagined. Air quality and pollution can cause London skies to look foggy and grey like shown on the left. But, if Londoners start to do their bit by reducing the number of car journeys they take, opting for public transport and cut down on meat, the city will be bright and green as shown on the right.
This is how Berlin’s famous Brandenburg Gate will look like as imagined by the AI Bot used in the study by Uswitch.
Toronto is expected to become hotter, wetter, and more extreme in the years to come. If the city does not achieve its stated target of Net Zero by 2040, it would be dark and gloomy with extremely visible pollution affecting the city's skyline as shown on the left. But if all efforts are made to reach the goal, the city will look like shown on the right.
If there is a business-as-usual scenario and New York City does not achieve its Net Zero by 2050, its leafy Central Park could end up in a permanent drought state as shown on the left. However, if the status is achieved, the outlook is brighters, as shown on the right.
