Coronavirus update: Govt plans movement window amid lockdown

Over 1,000 dead in India

The Union home ministry on April 29, 2020 said migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and others stranded due to the nationwide lockdown would get a window to return to their respective bases, subject to conditions.

  • India’s death toll from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was at 1,007 onApril 29, 2020 morning, according to the Union health ministry.
  • The country has registered 31,332 cases positive to the SARS-C0V-2 virus until now.
  • Among them, 22,629 were active cases.
  • A total 7,695 patients have been cured / discharged.
