An average vehicle emits 53 pounds of hydrocarbons a year. The Mercedes-Benz received 93 points while Buick Century got 40. It takes a very close look at the cars dirven by senior White House officials. White House advisor Thomas F Mclarty, who drives a Lincoln Mark VIII, gets a rating of 55.03. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Carol M Browner's Volvo Station Wagon got a rating of 56.29.
