Filmmakers and artists are known for voicing social concerns in their work. But there are few musicians or vocalists who are sensitive to social issues. Sting, now on his own - having bro- ken away from The Police - has decided to bring a progressive element in his music. His new solo album, Fields of Gold, is full of songs that echo contemporary concerns. Sting has associated himself with projects such as the preservation of rainforests and nuclear disarmament.
