The Yamuna river recorded a level of 207.41 metres on September 4, its third-highest level ever. The river has caused massive flooding in certain areas of Delhi and the National Capital Region.

Other than 2025, the river recorded its maximum levels during the floods of 1978 and 2023.

Areas including Yamuna Bazar, Geeta Colony, Majnu Ka Tila, Kashmiri Gate, Garhi Mandu, and Mayur Vihar have been flooded, according to a report by NDTV.
