Banana flower is called Mocha in Bengali language. This flower has been a part of various cuisines in india which includes Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharastra and West Bengal. The flower has a sour taste and needs to be cooked properly. It has been scientifically proven to treat diseases such as dysentery, ulcers and bronchitis. Research studies have shown that the flower has properties to reduce blood glucose levels. It also contains nutrients such as antioxidants, fibre, proteins, vitamin E and flavonoids.
