Pedestrian only street in Karol Bagh proves why urban renewal is needed for clean air and sustainability
One of Delhi's busiest market spaces have been freed of vehicular traffic. The Iconic Ajmal Khan Road in the heart of Karol Bagh, the capital's shopping hub is now slowly getting back more shoppers. The North Delhi Municipal Corporation, the Public Woks Department and the Delhi Traffic Police have joined hands and along with the traders associations, have remapped the parking areas in the market. They have also used the Karol Bagh Metro station to their advantage, paving a walking corridor to the market.
