Rajasthan is in a desperate race against time to save its last remaining great Indian bustards. With just 150 of these birds remaining, the experts and conservators are attempting at rewilding their population which has shown some signs of stabilisation.

Experts have recently mentioned that total extinction although possible, is presently out of the question.

Collision against high-tension power lines is touted to be the biggest threat to these birds.
