Meanwhile, isolated to scattered light/moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning and strong winds at speeds reaching 30-40 kilometres per hour (kmph) and gusting to 50 kmph is likely over Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during the next seven days.
In the Northeast, fairly widespread to widespread light/moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds at speed reaching 30-40 kmph and gusting to 50 kmph is likely during the next seven days. There will be isolated heavy rainfall over Assam and Meghalaya during May 5-8 and Arunachal Pradesh during May 5-7.
In eastern and central India, isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Odisha on May 4 and 5. Scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall, accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds at speeds reaching 40-50 kmph and gusting to 60 kmph is likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and Sikkim till May 6 and Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh till May 8.
In the northwest, scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds at speeds reaching 40-60 kmph is likely over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh during May 4-10.
Dust storm is very likely at isolated places over eastern Rajasthan on May 4-5.
In the west, isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Gujarat during May 4-8, with very heavy rainfall on May 7 and 8.
Isolated to scattered light/moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds at speeds reaching 30-40 kmph and gusting to 50 kmph is likely over Gujarat, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathawada during May 4-8.
Hot and humid weather is likely to prevail over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on May 4 and Kerala and Mahe on May 4 and 5.
