HYDEL PROJECT

Mario

Four micro-hydel projects in Nepal -- undertaken by the Rural Energy Development Programme of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) -- have started generating 39-kilowatt of electricity in Dadeldhura district. The power generation has benefited some 600 families who have set up rice mills at Shirsha, Jogbudha, Belapur and Bagarkot. Meanwhile, a 26-kilowatt micro-hydel project has been implemented at Baglung.
