Delhi gas leak incident: schoolkids find themselves at the receiving end

Over 400 students were hospitalised on Saturday after toxic chemical leakage at a container depot near two schools in southeast Delhi's Tughlakabad area.The Delhi government has ordered a magisterial probe into the incident and police have registered an FIR in the matter.

The chemical, which leaked from a container, is believed to be Chloromethyl Pyridine. It is used to produce insecticides and pesticides.

The girls were rushed to Batra Hospital, Apollo Hospital, Majeedia Hospital and ESI Hospital
About two dozen students fainted following the incident and as many as nine teachers were reportedly admitted to the hospitals
