Flying colours: Why Delhi is a birder's paradise

Delhi’s wetlands and green zones are home to thriving bird populations. According to the Delhi Bird Atlas, there are some 471 bird species across the capital city.

The report attributed this diversity to the Delhi’s abundant biodiversity and varied landscape, including the Aravalli ridge, the Yamuna floodplains and its location along a key migratory corridor.
