During the second week, a study revealed that leopards, wolves and hyenas show great potential to share lands with humans outside protected areas and Odisha registered fifth unnatural leopard death in four months. 
This week witnessed an Orca pod sighting off Maharashtra’s Konkan coast and a train running over a tigress in Andhra Pradesh. 
During the month's last week, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation was permitted to drill Tripura Gaur Sanctuary and a study revealed that Dugongs in the Gulf of Kutch were at risk of vanishing due to human activities. .png)
