Cooling system

German companies, EG Solar and Zeo-Tech have developed a new cooling system which is cheap, reliable and easy to maintain. The system consists of a refrigerator powered by solar energy, with a built-in evaporator, one or more zeolite containers, and a parabolic concentrating solar collector. A hand-driven vacuum pump is supplied for removing air from the absorption system. For refrigeration, a zeolite container to about 4 kg of zeolite is connected to the evaporator. Once the air is removed, the cooling process begins within seconds. Temperatures between 0.6C can be maintained for about 72 hours. The main advantage of the system is that repairs can be performed locally. In addition, water and zeolite are both natural substances that are not harmful.
