A recently discovered drug moleculecan force the body to burn off calories without too much exercise. Thismolecule called CP-331679, whichessentially mimics the action of ahormone called adrenaline, canboost the metabolism of rats byalmost a third, without increasingtheir appetite. Announcing this atthe American Chemical SocietyMeeting held at San Francisco,Robert Dow of the pharmaceuticalfirm Pfizer said that this drug doesnot seem to affect the cardiovascularsystem.
