Two draft documents - Institutionalizing and Strengthening of the EnvironmentalAssessment Process in Bhutan and EnvironmentalAssessment Sectoral Guidelines was released this May bythe Bhutan government in collaboration with the AsianDevelopment Bank. The first document sets objectives toprovide guidance both for evaluating new projects andexisting operations. The second document describespotential environmental problems associated withhydropower, forestry, roads, and mining and mineralprocessing sectors.
