Malnutrition in Punjab One in every five adults in the age group of 15 to 49 suffers from malnutrition in Punjab, referred to as the granary of the country, said the latest National Family Health Survey report of Punjab. Obesity has also emerged as a major health problem among adults; 30 per cent of women and 22 per cent of men in the state are overweight.

Catastrophe in 2oC rise Less than 2oC rise in global temperature might be sufficient to trigger melting of the Greenland Ice Sheet and Arctic sea ice, said the latest study by the World Wide Fund for Nature. As a result of melting, global sea levels would rise enough to threaten tens of millions of people worldwide.
