FAILING LAWS

Pakistan environmental protection agencies are not well equipped to effectively implement laws. This was stated by Saeed A Khan, professor at the NED University of Engineering and Technology. Lack of technical knowledge, manpower, equipments and strong financial support were the reasons behind the inefficiency of the agencies, he said. Khan was particularly critical of the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency, which he said, had failed to identify the objectives of environmental sustainability.
