Oils used as lubricants in machines have to be replaced regularly for them to remain effective. The process entails wastage and the oils being dumped become an environmental hazard.

Both these problems can be solved by the Hydroscav Oil Purifier, designed by the Melbournebased Ausdel. The Hydroscav extracts various contaminants like ammonia, hydrogen sulphide and chlorofluorocarbons from the used oil, leaving it clean and pure. It can even circulate the oil continuously and treat it with heat and, air or oxygen.
