>> On July 15, Dow Chemical announced a 10-year sponsorship deal with the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Olympic and Dow officials declined to reveal terms, but each four-year IOC sponsorship contract usually goes for up to US $100 million.
>> A US federal appeals panel has ruled that Joe Berlinger does not have to surrender all 600 hours of outtakes from his film Crude to oil giant Chevron Corp. But the documentary filmmaker must immediately hand over several categories of unused film footage. Chevron had sought all of the director’s unused film footage, arguing that it was relevant to its defence in an oil spill case in Ecuador.
