>> Delhi will host 48C, India's first public art festival between December 12 and 21. The theme of the exhibition is ecology and it will have a special focus on Delhi. The festival has been organized by the Delhi Government, Max Mueller Bhawan, GTZ, a Germany-based international group which works on sustainable development, and the Urban Resource Group, a team of architects from Delhi.

>> Pintadas Solar project, which encourages farming on small family-owned plots in Brazil, has won the Seed Award, granted by the United Nations and the World Conservation Union, IUCN. The project uses water from small dams in the northern semiarid region of Brazil to boost productivity in family farms.
