If you want to pass your exams or learn a new skill quick
indulge in sleep. in 2 experiments on animals and human
scientists have found the first direct evidence that memoceft
are consolidated during sleep.
In the rat studies conducted at the University of Arizom
at Tucson, researchers found that when the animal moved
through a familiar environment, a particular pattern of Ceft
was activated in the brain. And after a good sleep, the saw
cells became more energetic. Researchers conjecture that
heightened activity
suggests that memory
cells are recharged during sleep.
The hun-(an studies,
conducted at the Weiz
mann Institute in Is
rael, found that when
subjects learning a
new skill were allowed
to sleep and then repeatedly roused, it
hampered their performance on subsequent
tests of the skill.
