In the rat studies conducted at the University of Arizom at Tucson, researchers found that when the animal moved through a familiar environment, a particular pattern of Ceft was activated in the brain. And after a good sleep, the saw cells became more energetic. Researchers conjecture that heightened activity suggests that memory cells are recharged during sleep.

The hun-(an studies, conducted at the Weiz mann Institute in Is rael, found that when subjects learning a new skill were allowed to sleep and then repeatedly roused, it hampered their performance on subsequent tests of the skill.
