IT'S a sign of times. A virtual medium that tells us about the printed world. Not something new. For years now, established publishing houses have put up information like book catalogues and forthcoming releases on their websites.
Some like Permanent Black have been more creative, interviewing authors and getting them to write blog posts. But booksy.in breaks new grounds. It is a site that looks at the going ons in the publishing industry. This reviewer was struck by the diversity on offer.
Small book traders in Pune protesting a municipal levy on books; publishing the Adivasi voice and; news on e-textbooks. The site is a veritable delight for the biblophile.
There are also links to book review section of newspapers and magazines.
