Alka Kumari

Alka is a Programme Officer for the Water Programme at the Centre for Science and Environment. She holds a master’s degree in engineering and environmental science and is qualified in both GATE and NET. Additionally, she has a postgraduate diploma in industrial safety and management, with over five years of experience in the water and sanitation sector. Alka has worked on solid-liquid waste management initiatives, as well as assessing water and wastewater samples. She has supported efforts under the SBM, Swachh Survekshan, Jal Jeevan Mission, and AMRUT schemes, working closely with state governments in Uttarakhand, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh on both rural and urban water and sanitation projects.
