Checking Emissions

For the first time, the US senate has taken a step towards regulating carbon dioxide emissions -- the main cause of global warming. The senate environment and public works committee narrowly passed the 'Clean Power Act' recently, even as the coal mining industry and electric utilities sector are lobbying against it.
