Rejuvenation of Yamuna

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on January 22, 2020 directed Haryana to undertake remedial action in order to check the discharge of untreated sewage directly into the Yamuna river at Faridabad. 

Faulty STP 

The NGT on January 21 directed the Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) to ensure that the deficiencies of the sewage treatment plant (STP) at Barwala in Hisar district are looked into and an action taken report submitted within a month.

Mining around Jaisamand lake

The NGT on January 20, 2020 directed the Inspector General of Police, Udaipur Range to be present before it on February 5, 2020, on the matter of illegal mining happening around the Jaisamand Lake and other areas of Udaipur district in Rajasthan.

Stone crusher in Burhanpur

The NGT on January 21 directed the Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board to submit a report on the alleged illegal operation of a ready mix plant and stone crusher in Dhulkot village in Burhanpur district.

Sand mining at Panipat

The NGT on January 21 directed the HSPCB to take appropriate action to restore the environment at Rana Majra village in Panipat district, where illegal sand mining had taken place.
