Rwanda held a traditional naming ceremony -- usually reserved for newborn human kids -- for some of its rare mountain gorillas on June 25, 2005 in an effort to attract tourism and help preserve one of the world's most endangered species. Half of the world's 700 mountain gorillas live in the lush volcanic mountains that straddle the borders of Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda -- a war-riddled area.
