Pakistan is planning to set up more nuclear power plants to meet the country's increasing energy demand. Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) has already taken steps for setting up nuclear plants at Chashma and Karachi. "The installation of additional units would make nuclear power much more cost competitive with other sources of electricity generation," said Pervez Butt, chairperson of PAEC.
