Want to dispose off your old personal computers (PCs) but do not know how to do it without harming the environment? Click on to The site, promoted by the US auction portal eBay Inc, offers advice on how to resell, recycle or donate used electronics. It also links you to the nearest trader who will take up your old PC -- but only if you are in the US. According to a survey conducted by eBay, half of US families admit to having an old PC in their closet. But according to the figures of the US-based non-governmental organisation Grassroots Recycling Network (quoted by the site) only 10 per cent of all computers are recycled.

eBay has managed a veritable coup by getting advisors from Intel Corp -- the world's largest computer chip producer --top PC makers and computer distributors as well as experts from leading environmental groups, including the USenvironment protection agency.
