Internet Animal Trade IFAW
A giraffe, some Amazonian parrots and an adult gorilla were found for sale on the internet following a three-month investigation by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (ifaw). In a single week, over 9,000 live animals or animal products were for sale on websites, including the auction site eBay.
Over 70 per cent of these were species supposedly protected by international law.
