The Oxford English Dictionary describes turbulence as “The disruption caused by movement through a non-moving element or an element moving at a different speed”. For conventional aerodynamics turbulence is a problem to be controlled and eliminated. The people who run this site have also proved to be a bother, at least for the administrators during the Copenhagen climate summit. One of the editors Tadzio Mueller was arrested leading protests.
This site does not take conventional routes.
There is analysis of the financial crisis beyond the usual theories of market failure. Climate change is seen through its historical roots. A piece takes you on a road trip of California’s Central Valley to witness toxic ecosystems. There is also a sympathetic yet critical analysis of Latin America’s Leftist regimes.
