Increased number of hepatitis 'A' has been noticed in children at the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. The disease is detected rarely as people become immune to hepatitis A over a period of time. Studies revealed that all the children belonged to upper class families, and were used to drinking clean water. Even the slightest exposure to water from less clean sources resulted in gastroenteric problems.
