On the latest ground report from the COP28 venue, Down To Earth’s Akshit Sangomla discusses the negotiations regarding the Global Goal on Adaptation.

In the video, Sangomla discusses what GGA is and why it is a difficult point to negotiate as there is a major difference in adaptation and mitigation.

Sangomla further updates on the latest text that was introduced on GGA at the COP28 negotiation table and how it was rejected by the developing countries for not being strong enough.

He investigated the reasons for the initial drafts not working out as well as the expectations of the developing countries regarding the GGA text from the grounds of COP28 in UAE.
