Coronavirus update: Ajit Pawar urges special trains post-lockdown to ferry migrant workers

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on April 23, 2020, urged Union Minister for Railways, Piyush Goyal to run special long-distance trains from Mumbai and Pune after the lockdown ends on May 3 to ferry migrant workers stuck in Maharashtra to their native states.

  • India’s tally for cases positive to the SARS-CoV-2 virus reached 21,700 on April 23 morning, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
