Hyderabad has potential to become India's solar champion
A study conducted by Greenpeace India and Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute showed that Hyderabad can generate 1,730 MW power through rooftop solar panels and in turn reduce air pollution caused by coal-based power.
Mahindra Powerol to sell gas-powered gensets
While the company already sells diesel gensets, it now forays into gas gensets, which it will sell through its own channel of 200 dealers across the country.
Cabinet move to enhance availability of gas
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) eases regualtions for awarding oil and gas exploration blocks to bidders. It has allowed finance and petroleum ministers the authority to award blocks.
