Coronavirus update: India tally inches towards 2 lakhs
Active case count nears a lakh

India’s tally of cases positive to the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 jumped by more than 8,000 in 24 hours to 198,706 on June 2, 2020 morning.
- The number of active cases were at 97,581, according to the Union health ministry.
- India’s death toll from the ensuing COVID-19 disease was at 5,598.
- Worldover, 2,904,691 patients have died, according to private aggregator Worldometers.info.
